The Take
Vulcan has had his nights: Cloud9 took their first meeting of 2025. But in the 2025 playoffs Busio’s FlyQuest won both best-of-fives against Cloud9, Round 2 and the final, each by 3–2. Every one of those 33 games was played before Busio moved to Karmine Corp. Tonight is the first at Worlds, and the record says Vulcan is the one who has to change it.

“I think it feels bad, especially because of game 2, we ended up being in a very good position to win, and I think our draft was a lot better than theirs, but they were good at finding good angles. That was a theme throughout the series. I feel like they were better than us when they were in technically worse positions to find a way to make it work.”
